Nutrition Tips to Poop Daily

You shouldn’t have to rely on laxatives and prunes to poop daily!! When it comes to fixing your bowels, food and nutrition play a major role!

First things first…are you eating ENOUGH food? Make sure you are eating a sufficient amount of food to help form bulk in the digestive tract. 

It’s also super important to eat balanced meals and snacks to help keep you pooping daily. This means you need to incorporate fiber rich carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats at each meal. When it comes to snacks, include at least two of these (carb + protein, fat + protein, carb + fat). 

Fiber, fiber, fiber! Aim for 25 grams or more of fiber a day. I make sure my clients have fiber rich food at each meal and snack. Fiber rich foods include: fruits, veggies, root veggies, berries, avocado, beans, lentils, chia seeds, flax seeds, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and oats.

When you increase your fiber intake you need to increase your water intake to keep the bowels moving. Aim to drink half of your body weight in ounces. 

SO to sum it up: eat enough, eat balanced meals, get yo fiber, drink more water and you will be set to poop daily!
